The Lasers4Life clinical study keeps growing. The BIRD-Lasers4Life team is pleased to welcome two new clinical sites in Würzburg – the latest additions to a network of partners helping bring Infrared Molecular Fingerprinting (IMF) from the exploratory research toward everyday clinical practice.

This phase of the study is built around exactly that kind of growth – recruiting more clinical partners to strengthen enrolment for the lung cancer arm. It marks a deliberate step asking: Can Infrared Molecular Fingerprinting (IMF) support the clinical diagnosis of lung cancer, not just in a single setting, but wherever patients happen to be seen and samples collected?

The two new Würzburg sites will enroll both patients with therapy-naïve lung cancer and control participants. Each additional site brings its own patient mix and clinical routine – a fresh test of whether the method holds up.

The team is grateful to the Bavarian Cancer Research Center (BZKF) for its continued support, and looks forward to welcoming many more participants in the months ahead.
