Dr. Kosmas Kepesidis was invited to teach at this year’s BIOMED-DATA Summer School, held from 6 to 14 July 2026 in Budapest. Together with PhD candidate Zita Zarándy, he represented the attoworld-team at the event.
As part of the programme, Kosmas delivered a lecture series on Deep Learning for Unstructured Medical Data. The course introduced participants to modern deep-learning methods for analyzing complex biomedical data, including medical images and clinical text.
Zita Zarándy led a series of hands-on tutorials on the same topic, guiding participants through the implementation of the presented methods and their application to practical problems.
By combining theoretical foundations with practical training, the course demonstrated how artificial intelligence can help extract clinically relevant information from complex medical datasets. The contribution also strengthened the exchange between attoworld and the wider biomedical data science community.
