In Oberpfaffenhofen, you can get a little closer to the universe. OHB System AG has a branch office there. Our students were invited to learn about the challenging work involved in shaping the future of space travel.

At OHB, more than 4,000 employees work on space technologies for e.g. Earth observation, navigation, telecommunications, science, and space research, as well as on systems for manned spaceflight and aerial reconnaissance. One of them is our former colleague Amelie Heinzerling. Amelie and her colleagues gave us fascinating insights into their work.  Afterward, they showed us the laboratories, particularly those where research on quantum communication is currently underway.

We’d like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks for the kind invitation and the wonderful insights we were able to gain.

Anyone interested in working at OHB can find more information on the career portal. Unsolicited applications are also welcome.
