Over the last two days, we had the great pleasure of hosting Prof. Dr. Jürgen Popp from the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (IPHT) and the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, in the city famously known as the “City of Light.” His visit was truly enriching and provided the attoworldians with invaluable insights.

Our discussions covered a wide range of topics, highlighting the groundbreaking advancements in biophotonics. Prof. Popp shared how biophotonic tools are changing medical practices. He delved into innovative approaches in cellular measurements using Raman spectroscopy and discussed new techniques to enhance endoscopy during surgery.

It was both exciting and fascinating to engage with such a distinguished scientist. His visit not only broadened our understanding but also further inspired us with the potential of biophotonic applications in medical science. We look forward to future collaborations and continued exploration in this dynamic field.
