This Saturday, November 8, the time has come: the LMU main building will open its doors for the ‘Tag der Quantenphysik’ (Day of Quantum Physics) from 11:00 am—4:00 pm. Visitors can look forward to exciting experiments, hands-on activities, as well as lectures and talks by, among others, Harald Lesch and Immanuel Bloch.

Of course, attoworld will also be there with its own booth, a raffle, and a special highlight:
the live premiere of the brand-new fourth episode of the German-language PhotonLab audio play for young and old,
“Alice im Quantenland: Die Zauberwürfel”, taking place in the Audimax at 1:15 pm!

In this new episode, Alice, Schrödinger, and Rabbit find themselves in a mysterious fairy-tale forest, where they meet Prof. Reinhold Bertlmann, who – in his own voice – illustrates the phenomenon of quantum entanglement using pairs of differently colored socks that are correlated with each other. But this ‘spukhafte Fernwirkung’ (spooky action at a distance), as Einstein famously called it, can also lead to remarkably consistent outcomes, as our friends discover during a dice game with the Mad Hatter. And that these very dice will later help Alice out of a tight spot becomes yet another twist in this adventure.
