As part of the Augsburg Rocketeer Festival, Dr Florian Herrmann, Bavarian Minister of State for Federal Affairs and Media, presented the B.DiGiTAL 2025 Digital Award. Herrmann presented the Bavarian Minister President’s Honorary Award to Nobel Prize winner in Physics Prof. Dr Ferenc Krausz for his contribution to digitalization.
“Ferenc Krausz combines cutting-edge research in physics with interdisciplinary progress in a unique way. His developments enable, for example, the further improvement of medical diagnostic procedures,” said Herrmann. “Even more groundbreaking, however, is the potential of attosecond physics for information technology. It could catapult today’s computing power into previously unimaginable dimensions.”
