This week, Dr. Mihaela Žigman is representing the BIRD-team at the Optica Sensing Congress in California, USA. The conference brings together experts from diverse fields to discuss recent advancements in optical sensing technologies, address emerging challenges, and help shape the future of the field. The event’s dynamic and collaborative atmosphere is driven by the strong involvement and enthusiasm of industry partners.

At the conference, Mihaela presents two invited talks, highlighting the team’s latest research and insights. On Monday, she gave a talk on “Infrared Spectroscopy: Profiling the Intricacies of Human Matrices”. The second talk will be today, on Wednesday, 23 July, at 3:00 pm where she will give a presentation on “Employing infrared molecular fingerprinting and AI to serve medical diagnostics” as part of the Industry Program session on “Technologies for New Applications and Networking”.

Next week, Mihaela will also give a plenary talk on “Infrared molecular fingerprinting to profile the intricacies of health and disease“ at the XLIV. COLLOQUIUM SPECTROSCOPICUM INTERNATIONALE in Ulm. Additionally, Prof. Ferenc Krausz will give the Conference Opening Plenary at the same event.
