If you live in the Garching area and are interested in artificial intelligence, you are invited to listen to the lecture by Professor Julia Schnabel as part of the Garching Talks on Science and World Affairs on March 11.
Artificial intelligence is on everyone’s lips. New applications and providers are coming onto the market every day. But how exactly does it work? What are its basic principles? When do we talk about artificial intelligence and where are its limits? Julia Schnabel will explore these questions in an understandable way and provide you with new insights. She will use examples to illustrate the function of artificial intelligence and applications in medicine.
Julia Schnabel is Professor of Computer Imaging and Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. She studied computer science in Berlin and London, was a professor at Oxford and King’s College London before being appointed to TU Munich and the Helmholtz Center in 2021.
The lecture is on Tuesday, 11 March 2025, at 19:30, in the Garching City Library, Bürgerplatz 11. Organizers are the Protestant and Catholic university communities, the TU Munich, the Garching City Library and other partners.
