Distinguished guests at the Laboratory for Extreme Photonics (LEX). As part of the Scientific Advisory Board at the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics, Professor and Nobel Prize winner Donna Strickland from the University of Waterloo and Professor Nirit Dudovich from the Weizmann Institute in Israel visited the attoworld-team. After a lively exchange of ideas, both were impressed by the complexity of research into infrared spectroscopy of molecular fingerprints and the number of areas that need to be addressed simultaneously in order to use this technology to shape the medicine of the future.
