ACCORD – the next generation of experiments in attosecond physics (2)

The ACCORD laser system is the result of a unique attempt to combine the advantages of high-power Yb-based gain media with the broad spectral coverage previously only available through Ti:Sapphire. It delivers few-cycle, mJ-scale pulses at a 50 kHz repetition rate, suitable for driving the next generation of experiments in attosecond physics. Here, Dr. Dimitrii Kormin inspects the cavity of the thin-disk regenerative amplifier.
